The Netherlands has agreed to provide support to Sri Lanka to conduct research activities necessary for prevention of kidney disease in the country. Accordingly , a research report was submitted to President Maithripala Sirisena by a Netherlands special medical team, at the Presidential Secretariat on September 13.
President Maithripala Sirisena participated at the Badulla District National Kidney Disease Prevention Program held at the Girandurukotte Mahawali Stadium, today (29).
A report, following a three-day international expert consultation to guide future direction for addressing Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Aetiology (CKDu), was presented to President Maithripala Sirisena by WHO Representative to Sri Lanka Dr Jacob Kumaresan at the Presidential Secretariat, today (06).
President Maithripala Sirisena discussed with medical experts from Cuba and El Salvador regarding launching of a trilateral cooperation for eradication of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
